OPENING WEEKEND 2025

Opening Weekend 2025 was a smashing success with lots of fish caught and even more cold hands and feet. The weather gods did not disappoint as we were provided with our normal cold and snowy weather, but it did make the catching side of fishing pretty spectacular throughout the weekend. A few of those were caught by Nelson Harrison from Los Angeles who landed a 5 pound 1 oz Rainbow fishing from the shore of Silver Lake using a Hook Up Bait. Ashley Ontiveros with a nice 4 pound 7 oz Rainbow caught from the shore of Silver Lake using Berkely Powe Baits. Leo Mendez of Phoenix with a 3 pound 12 oz Rainbow and Troy Sella with a beautiful 4 pound 4 oz Brown Caught on Silver Lake using a lure from a boat. These great catches and pictures are just a few of the many awesome fish we saw brought into the store for weighing over the weekend. Most anglers saw great results using Mini Jigs like Golden State Jigs, lures of all colors and variety, Berkley Pinch Crawlers, Mice Tails and Power Baits and Night Crawler Worms just to name a few of the heavy hitters. The weather looks to be a little volatile over the next week which will allow things to settle down in the lake before the start of summer gets here in a few weeks. Come on up before it gets really busy up here in the Eastern Sierras and swing on by for a great Breakfast or Lunch at the Silver Lake Cafe and we will look forward to seeing you!! We are using a new platform for our Fish Reports and this is my first attempt at it. I hope it looks good and all the pictures are there!! AJ
Happy Fishing and We Will See You at the Lake!!
