Silver Lake Resort Fish Pictures August 2026

Fishing has been great here at Silver Lake for the past few weeks, the catching side of things has been steady, but has been picking up as we have had some afternoon thunder and rain storms that is helping to cool things off and bring the fishies up from the deep. Anglers have seen the most success taking it as deep as possible with a 3 to 5 foot leader of the bottom and using the always steady Berkley Pinch Crawlers and Mice Tails and Berkely Dough Baits Bumble Bee, Sunshine Yellow , as well as and Garlic Chartreuse and Gulp Chunky Cheese. Also seeing some good action are Golden State Jigs in bright colors and their new spoons look great and work really well, the Mook lure and the always consistent Thomas Buoyant in Black and Gold/Red. Silver Lake did receive a few nice loads of stockers last couple weeks, before the holiday from DFW pound of 1 to 3 pounders from Desert Springs Hatchery about three weeks ago . As we continue to cool of and slow down, things should only continue to get better as we head into Fall. Look for the fishies to continue to rise towards the surface and some good top water fishing to spring up over the next few weeks..

Happy Fishing and We Will See You at the Lake!!
