Happy Fishing and We Will See You at the Lake!!
Fish of the Week:

The Semi-Famous Bruce Stewart of Cardiff by the Sea, with a couple of great Rainbows caught from a boat on Silver Lake, one weighing in a 2 pound 4 oz and the other 1 pound 4 oz both caught using Berkely Power Baits
Fishing has been great here at Silver Lake for the past few weeks, the catching side of things has been a little harder though, but has been picking up as we have had some afternoon thunder and rain storms that is helping to cool things off and bring the fishies up from the deep. Anglers have seen the most success taking it as deep as possible with a 3 to 5 foot leader of the bottom and using the always steady Berkley Pinch Crawlers and Mice Tails and the new Berkely Dough Bait Pink Flamingo, as well as Salmon Peach and Garlic Chartreuse and Gulp Chunky Cheese. Also seeing some good action are Golden State Jigs in bright colors, the Mook lure and the always consistent Thomas Buoyant. Silver Lake did receive two nice loads of stockers last week, before the holiday with DFW dumping a load in on Thursday and a 500 pound of 1 to 3 pounders from Desert Springs Hatchery, that were purchased by Silver Lake Resort, to help with the catching side of things. As we continue to cool of and slow down, things should only continue to get better as we head into Fall. Look for the fishies to continue to rise towards the surface and some good top water fishing to spring up.
Happy Fishing and we will see you at the lake!!
